Okay, so here is what I am finding. Last week I had good weight loss but poor measurements. This week, I lost 1 1/4 inches (from my mid-section! Yay!) but gained 8/10 of a pound. Err... I don't get it. I didn't have a great week as I was unmotivated and skipped Monday and Tuesday workouts, but I did workout today instead. Oh well, til next week.

Don't beat yourself up! Each day your body weight can fluctuate naturally as much as 3 lbs. So you can't really measure in tiny increments like 8/10 of a pound. They say (and I've found it to be true) that it's better not to focus on what the scale says but on how you feel and how your clothes fit. Like for me, I've lost only 5 lbs over the past four months, but my body looks totally different and I'm a couple sizes down. It's because I turned fat into muscle, which is heavier. So, the scale is not always the best indicator.
Point being: I'm sure you're doing great, and really, just trying at all is the important thing!
Thanks Kristen.
I totally know what you are saying Carrie. And the funny thing is that I have never been obsessed about the number before. I couldn't even tell you what exactly my pregnancy weights were, just round-about figures. I guess now that I am getting older and my metabolism is slower, I'm a little freaked out by a larger number on the scale, you know? I have been keeping track of my measurements so that I can see the changes too. Thanks for the pep talk!
